These are the three moisturizers that I regularly apply. The Bioderma, as you can see, contains glycerin, which is a ‘skin-identical ingredient.’ This means glycerin already exists in our dermis layer, helping to keep the skin moisturized and hydrated. The Venusia Max cream is amazing for dry skin; again, the skin-identical ingredient here is glycerin. Additionally, it contains shea butter, mango butter, and cocoa butter, which are great for moisturizing and nourishing the skin. Generally, I apply Venusia at night because its butter content makes it a bit thick. However, please don’t use it as a sunscreen; even though it contains zinc oxide, it won’t be effective in that role. Maxrich Yu also contains glycerin and squalane, both of which are skin-identical ingredients, further supporting skin hydration and barrier function. In conclusion, Bioderma and Maxrich Yu, with their lighter textures, are ideal for morning application. Venusia, on the other hand, is thicker due to its content of three different types of butter, making it more suitable for nighttime use to deeply moisturize and nourish the skin.

In terms of pricing, Bioderma offers the best value when you compare. Max Rich Yu is also good, but it’s a bit more expensive. Using Bioderma in the morning and Venusia at night makes for a budget-friendly combination.

Making Moisturizers Work Better

I want to offer you a tip that will help your moisturizer glide smoothly over your face. Whether you’re using Venusia, Bioderma, Max Rich, or any other cream, mix it with a gel before applying it to your face. This will give your skin a silky smooth finish and assist the cream in gliding on nicely

Refer to the table below for gel options. The first four are aloe vera gels; following them is the Neutrogena Hydro Boost, which includes glycerin—a superb natural moisturizer and skin-identical ingredient that’s crucial for skin hydration and health—and sodium hyaluronate, i.e., hyaluronic acid.

The last entry is pure glycerin, which is also highly effective. While most aloe vera gels contain perfume, it shouldn’t pose a problem unless you have extremely sensitive skin. If perfume is a concern, consider using plain glycerin mixed with your favorite moisturizer.

The sizes and prices are listed; except for Neutrogena, all options are reasonably priced.

Thus, you can blend the gel with whichever cream you’re currently using.

Please note: Aloe vera and glycerin are quite thick, so use them sparingly to ensure they glide on your skin with ease

After you apply it and touch your skin, it feels and looks really dewy; you’re going to love how it feels. But, if you’ve got oily skin, using both might lead to acne, so it might be best to stick with just one. Still, for anyone with dry skin, this trick is fantastic.

I want to share my own experience to underscore the importance of this advice. Without doing any research, I once used raw aloe vera from my garden because it seemed like everyone else was doing it. The moment I applied it, my face started burning and itching terribly. So, please don’t use raw aloe vera directly from your garden on your skin. It can cause irritation due to impurities that need to be chemically removed. Additionally, with over 420 types of aloe, it’s nearly impossible to identify the skin-friendly variety on your own. To avoid such discomfort and not just to save a few dollars, I strongly advise buying aloe vera products from a store. A single container can be quite affordable, costing around $10, and it can last you 4 to 5 months

As you can see, I’ve taken a pea-sized amount; this is generally how much you should use, but of course, it depends on what suits you. After applying it two or three times, you’ll get an idea of how much your skin needs.
I’ve mixed Bioderma moisturizer with aloe vera gel and applied it to the face.
